In 2014, the University of Patras (UPAT) celebrated 50 years of Academic operation, marked by continuous development and constantly emerging new achievements.
Besides its distinguished path in education, the University of Patras has excelled in the fields of basic and applied research and presents an effective participation in a plethora of research projects, scientific organizations, and research groups.
The University of Patras will participate through its Communications and Information Technologies Laboratory (WCL), established in 1967 at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Its Visualization and Virtual Reality Group (WCL) is active in human-computer interaction virtual user modelling, physiological signal monitoring and low level signal processing, virtual physiological humans, virtual and mixed reality, physics-based simulation computational modelling, biomechanics, and AR/VR applications, generating concrete industrial applications.
UPAT will participate in the development of the GamECAR User models, including the behavioral and physiological representations as well as personalized Co-Decision Support System, and of the AR interventions and signal processing.
Dr. Moustakas Konstantinos from UPAT is GamECAR Project Coordinator.
